Alenia Aermacchi developed the ATR 72MP maritime patrol aircraft by integrating the SELEX Galileo ATOS mission systems with the ATR 72-600 airframe. Designed for patrolling, rescue, sea and coastline protection from security and environmental threats it will replace the Breguet Atlantics in Italian service. It can be predisposed to receive specific anti submarine warfare systems.
